Education

 

I attended the Gadsden County Public School system; George W. Monroe, Carter Parramore Middle, and James A. Shanks High School.  I graduated with honors from James A. Shanks in 1998.  I am a PROUD graduate of Florida State University; Class of 2001 Graphic Design and Fine Arts Department.



Experience

I began teaching in Gadsden County in 2002 at Gretna Elementary School.  Here, I taught Elementary Art for 10 years.  In 2012, I became a teacher at Havana Elementary School.  There, I taught Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd Grade.  I am currently the Primary Art Teacher for Havana Magnet School.

Greetings Eagle Parents and Students,
Get ready for another exciting year at Havana Magnet School as you join us in our
Elementary Art Class this year. I, Ms. Travetria Hurchins, will instruct your child as he/she
ventures through the Arts. I have been a teacher in the Gadsden County School District for 16 years spending 12 years as an Art teacher. Below, you will find the expectations and my schedule for Art Class.
